  and Vision

MRR's MISSION

Minnesotans for Responsible Recreation was founded in 1996 to restore and protect peace and quiet, fresh air, personal safety, and healthy trails and waterways in Minnesota from the noise, fumes, danger to others and damage to our environment caused by ATVs, snowmobiles and jet skis.

MRR's academic, evidentiary approach puts facts before politics. MRR works to estabilsh high level standards for protecting our state from the unwanted effects of motorized recreation. MRR's citizen audits of public funding for motorized recreation are currently providing badly-needed oversight of gas-tax funded institutions that driving the annual promotion and expansion of motorized recreation while the Minnesota's majority seek quiet places.

For eleven years MRR has protected quiet places and healthy trails and waterways in Minnesota from the unwanted effects of motorized recreation. Today, MRR is Minnesota's agency of accountability.

MRR's Vision

Minnesota's quiet majority will find peace & quiet, fresh air & healthy trails & waterways on the majority of Minnesota's public land & water & in their own backyards.

Expect peace and quiet...
