2004 Pedal for Peace and Quiet

2004 Celebration of Quiet Places

Duluth Mayor Herb Bergson welcomed enthusiastic participants to MRR's 1st Annual Celebration of Quiet Places on September 11. Poets LOUIS JENKINS and CONNIE WANEK-DETINGER, photographer ERIC HAHN, painters ANN  JENKINS and DORIS SAMPSON, video artist PATRICK ELLER and singer/songwriter SARA THOMSEN enriched our appreciation of the value of quiet places with their poetry, humor and song.

Silent and live auction with entertaining GARY LEPISTO, Sellers Auction House  featured great deals on outdoor gear, adventures, and overnights including a We No Nah Spirit II Canoe, canoe and kayak paddles, Burley Bicycle Flat-bed Touring Trailer and Lake Superior Sailing and Kayak Adventures and Lunch for Two in Canal Park!

Thank you to our many charming and helpful volunteers
and all the businesses, organizations and artists who made our 1st Annual celebration a success!
