Toolkits for the Quiet majority
TOOLS FOR MINNESOTA’S QUIET MAJORITY
Seventy-five percent of Minnesotans seek quiet, healthy environments on our public and private land and water studies show. Still, only a small percentage of Minnesota’s land and water is non-motorized. Studies also show that when quiet seeking people encounter motorized recreation (snowmobiles, ATVs, dirt-bike motorcycles, jet skis, four-wheel drive trucks and cigarette boats) those people tend not to return to those places. Too many Minnesotans are mourning the loss of peace and quiet in their parks and forests, at their cabins, on their trails, rivers and lakes. It is MRR’s vision that the quiet majority will find quiet on the majority of Minnesota’s public land and water. See MRR’s new video, A Celebration of Quiet Places.
